Total Solar Eclipse

1999 Aug 11Total Solar Eclipse

This Millennium Eclipse -- the final total solar eclipse of the Second Millennium -- may be viewed by more people than any other total solar eclipse -- ever! The path crosses densely populated areas of Europe, the Middle East, and India. Especially in Europe -- in August which is the high season for summer vacations -- millions of people are likely to travel to the path of totality to get a glimpse of the corona.
